Anabuki Station and Sadamitsu Station Area

The area includes the old townscape of Wakimachi, a town crowded with indigo dye traders in the Edo-Meiji period (1603 to 1868) and a number of temples in Mima.
The area also includes Sarukai Village, which has been designated as a World Agricultural Heritage site designated by Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS). This is an area where visitors can come in contact with traditional culture and nature, such as earthenware cooking pots, Narutaki Falls, and Kyoju Okoku (lit. Kingdom of Huge Trees).
