Firefly Festival in Kurokawa Valley【Mid-June】

The Firefly Festival is held at Yamashiro Firefly Park in Kurokawa Valley.
This event used to be an annual festival held in the Kurokawa Valley, a famous firefly viewing spot.
However, for a long time it was not opened due to a lack of local organizers, but it was newly revived in 2023 through the efforts of immigrants and others.
There will be many events such as night stalls, kitchen cars, live music, and a raffle.
Why don't you come and see fantastic fireflies in the mountain river in early summer?

Precautions	[2025] Space is limited, please ride together as much as possible. Tent space is also limited. If you are attending the party, please make sure to park in the paid parking lot and inform the parking attendant and the entrance that you are attending the party. Only free parking is available for those attending the festival only. Please park from the back of the lot, as it is expected to be very crowded. Also, it will be difficult to leave the parking lot during the festival. After 20:00, rush hour for going home makes it impossible to come up there during that time, so it is better to wait until after 21:00. Early arrival is recommended as the roads will be crowded on the day of the event.

Nagoro Scarecrow Village (Kakashi no Sato)

You can spot over 350 scarecrows in this deep mountain village. One woman, Ayano Tsukimi, handmade all of them and creatively placed them around the area: in the fields working, waiting at bus stops, dancing local dances, etc. She welcomes visitors to walk around the village and enter the old school to see a glimpse of the past.
