Gibier Feast & Mountain Life Experience (Higashimiyoshi)
Taste the countryside in this feast of gibier and seasonal vegetables--a unique rural dining experience!
Relish the slow life in this mountain village, where each of the seasons offers something new to enjoy. As a hunter, Mr. Kinoshita will prepare a huge full course feast, using fresh gibier from his own catches–wild boar and deer meat that is tender and rich in flavour. The other dishes and vegetables are prepared with local spring water, and harvested right in the village, grown using ancient steep-slope agricultural methods (recognized as World Agricultural Heritage).
Try your hand at life on a Nishi-Awa farm, harvesting seasonal crops like radishes, tomatoes, chestnuts, etc, or hunting with Mr. Kinoshita! Workshops such as udon and soba noodle making are also available. Enjoy the beauty and solace of Nishi-Awa, and the original Japanese landscapes that have endured for over 400 years.
