Iya Vine Bridge + Heike Yashiki Folk Museum Online Tickets [Iya, Tokushima] 【Discount for Online Reservation】

Adults950 yen, primary schools students 590 yen. This ticket allows you to cross Tokushima's scenic 'Iya Vine Bridge' and enter the Heike Yashiki Folk Museum, which is designated as an Important Tangible Cultural Property by Miyoshi City.

The ticket includes a ticket to cross the Iya Vine Bridge and a ticket to enter the Heike Yashiki Folk Museum.

Iya Vine Bridge

The Iya Vine Bridge in Nishi-Iya Mountain Village, Miyoshi City, is known as one of the three most mysterious bridges in Japan. The bridge is made of kiwi vine (which weighs approximately 5 tonnes) and is rebuilt every three years. The bridge, which creaks and sways with every step, is a thrilling experience! Enjoy the clear waters of the Iya River and the Biwa Falls, as well as the surrounding natural beauty of the area.

The bridge is 45 m long, 2 m wide and 14 m above the water. (Designated by the national government as an important tangible folk cultural property).

Heike Yashiki Folk Museum.

The Heike Yashiki Folk Museum, designated as an Important Tangible Cultural Property of Miyoshi City, is the residence of the descendants of Horikawa Daiki, the emperor Antoku’s official physician. Horikawa Daiki entered the mountains with his family at the time of the fall of the Heike clan and served as a doctor and priest in Iya, a region rich in medicinal herbs.

The museum is located in the nature-rich Nishi-Iya mountain village of Miyoshi City, Tokushima Prefecture, where the seasons are varied and there are old trees in the garden that have stood the test of time. Relax in nature and enjoy the history surrounding you.
