【Youkai House, Stone Museum】

Yamashiro town in Tokushima prefecture boasts of more than 110 youkai legends that have haunted the area for centuries… Yamashiro is also home to Konaki-jijiji, who appears in the manga “Gegege no Kitaro”. At the Youkai House, visitors can meet a number of legendary youkai and learn more about the local lore. 

On the second floor, enjoy the Stone Museum where you can view precious minerals and gemstones from around the world. The museum also exhibits conglomeratic schist, a type of metamorphic rock designated as a natural monument in Tokushima Prefecture.

Opening hours: 9:00-17:00.
