Try on a kimono at Udatsu Street ❀ Wakimachi, Mima

Immerse yourself in Japanese history and culture! Don a kimono of your choice and take a stroll around the beautiful and historic Udatsu Townscape; the perfect spot for a photoshoot. ♪

The streets of Wakimachi’s Udatsu Townscape were historically a place where indigo merchants gathered in the Edo period, and its beautiful traditional buildings remain, preserved to enjoy for generations to come. Donning a kimono and walking these streets will make you feel as though you have truly slipped back in time!

Feel free to take photos around the townscape, visit cafes situated in the ancient buildings, and gaze upon the retro Odeonza Theatre. Mima Wagasa Japanese umbrellas are also available to borrow.

Dress in a kimono, then enjoy a stroll around the Udatsu Townscape and Wakimachi area.

(Please note that the time may vary depending on the number of people, the need to separate rooms for dressing, etc.)

Please return your kimono by 16:30.

*In case of rain, a kimono dressing class (self-dressing experience) may be held. In this case, there will be no walking tour.

*Simple hair accessories are also available.

 

【Fees】 Per person

Yukata: 4,200 yen

Half-width kimono sash: 6,600 yen

Nagoya obi: 7,200 yen

Men’s kimono are yukata-style (a lighter type of kimono), and the number is limited. 

*Additional charges will apply if rental equipment is damaged or soiled.
